◎ 慎终追远 shènzhōng-zhuīyuǎn

[carefully attend the funeral rites of parents and follow them when gone with due sacrifices] 终:指父母丧。远:指祖先。谓居父母丧要尽礼节。祭祀要尽虔诚。《论语·学而》:“曾子曰:‘慎终追远,民德归厚矣。’”
